In Manila, the first few cars of the train are reserved for women and children. The rest of the cars, reserved for men.
When we took the train in Manila, same thing, you get squashed inside the men’s cars. You smell the armpits of your neighbour *yuk*, you worry about pick pockets, and you wonder how on earth you are going to get to the door in a train jammed full of people…

This is not unlike my experience in KL haha. Fights would break out if that happened in America, and our government would consider it a “fire code violation.”
