4Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Matthew 24:4-14

Need I say more. It’s all over the news.

Malaysian Muslims rally after church attacks

Malaysian churches attacked

Malaysia scrambles to calm tensions

KL church torched

Churches attacked in Malaysian ‘Allah’ dispute

Four churches. Maybe more.

Two more incidents in Selangor

Pastor manhandled.

I wished I had a bigger picture of this to link but looks like it’s been kept away from the public. Some words on the banners were threats.

I shouldn’t have been surprised, after all there was the cow-head protest held before not long in the past. But I was surprised. I didn’t think it would go this far – didn’t think the people whom I considered fellow countrymen would do these acts.

I guess I was wrong.

This is just the beginning of many things to come.

God of this city

You’re the God of this City
You’re the King of these people
You’re the Lord of this nation
You are

You’re the Light in this darkness
You’re the Hope to the hopeless
You’re the Peace to the restless
You are
There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater thing have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
